Jen Donohoo is a director, stage manager, showcaller, producer, and script supervisor residing in New York City. Her past experiences as a dancer, choreographer, educator, and program director have made her an asset to creative teams across the entertainment industry. Her love of collaboration and versatility of experience has positioned her in a unique spot to jump into multiple roles within a project.
As a resident artistic director, she has been on tour with Cirque du Soleil's Twas The Night Before the past two holiday seasons. Working with 78 Artists across three touring productions in 2023, she was responsible for teaching all show tracks, cues and group choreography. Artists acts include Acro Bike, Hoop Diving, Duo Straps, Roller Skating, Diablos, Dancers and Juggling. As a producer, she has worked in the roles of executive producer, creative producer and content/screens producer overseeing the creative process on projects with NMR Events (Disney Tech Showcase, Ares Management, Keysight World, UNICEF), Stephanie Martinez Choreography, and Dancing For Democracy. As a script coordinator and producer, she has worked primarily with Disney on their Road to the Upfronts 2021 (Disney Ad Sales, Disney Tech & Data, Disney Development, Disney Sports and the Disney Upfronts). As a script supervisor and content manager, she worked the Disney Upfronts 2022, with Joe DeMaio (Director), Marty Pasetta Jr (AD) and John Koch (Scriptwriter). As a casting director and talent manager, she’s helped cast intimate to large scale events across the globe with companies like Disney, CBS, Bustle, Hermes, Royal Caribbean, Renaissance Hotel, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Vera Bradley, Lavazza, Victoria’s Secret, Basil Haydens, Adidas, Delta, amongst many others. As a stage manager and show caller, she has worked across the beauty, tech and finance industries on events such as BlackRock, Capgemini, L’anza: The B.I.G. Show, IBS NYC + Vegas, ABS, SCNC, BQG, and Ares Management, amongst others. As an associate director and choreographer, she has worked on Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, Arena Tours and International Ceremonies. Favorites include: Lake Placid FISU University Games Opening Ceremony, Marvel Universe Live (dir James Hadley), Freckled Sky (choreo. Stephanie Martinez), Evita (dir/choreo. As a dance captain, she worked on Follies (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, dir. Gary Griffin), A Chorus Line (dir. Mitzi Hamilton), A Christmas Carol, and Timon of Athens (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, choreo. Nic Blanc). As an educator and teacher, she has had the privilege of working with students ages three to professionals in studio, university and master teacher settings over the past 25 years. More recent teaching credits include: Stage Door Connections, I Can Do That NYC, SUNY Purchase, Ballet Academy East, Ball State University, Lou Conte Dance Studio, The Joffrey Ballet, and Ruth Page Dance Center. In the non-profit arts sector, she served as Vice President and Program Director for Off The Lane for nearly 3 years. There she was responsible for the development and implementation of every aspect of their programming from social media, newsletters, and blogs, managing all staffing and volunteers, and producing their Empower Artists Gala 2021, where they announced the inaugural year winner of the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program. In November 2021, after 11 months of development and collaboration with Ann Reinking Advisory Board members, she took over the role of Ann Reinking Scholarship Program Director, continuing to fulfill her passion to mentor young artists as they transition from student to thriving professional. |
